    For exceptional contributions to the improvement of agriculture and creation and implementation of innovative ideas and plans toward better development and advancement in this field.
  • Business
    In recognition of outstanding success in business entrepreneurship, management, marketing, economics, finance, trade and industry that contributed to nation building, economic growth and human development, this award category is given.
  • Education
    To recognize exemplary achievements in education, either as an educator, administrator, practitioner or proponent of progressive ideas and innovations in educating and developing people of all ages particularly the youth.
  • Environment
    Award category gives highest recognition to exceptional achievements in advocating for the protection, replenishment and sustainability of natural resources in particular and the environment in general.
  • Law, Peace and Social Justice
    Award category honors and salutes exemplary achievements in the practice of law without compromising the fundamental tenets and ethical values of the profession and pursuing with utmost integrity truth, fairness and justice.

    Likewise, for exceptional contributions to the creation of peace and advancement of social justice through humanist means.

  • Literature, Culture and the Arts  
    To recognize exemplary achievements in the literary field in music, theatre, visual and performing arts including the presentation an appreciation of the cultural heritage, particularly of the indigenous Filipinos.

  • Mass Media
    This award category is given to intellectuals whose life's works have had a foundational impact on the way people think of themselves and the world. The awardee must have displayed exceptional ability to influence the public consciousness through his/her works.

  • Medicine, Science and Technology
    Award category celebrates outstanding achievements in the field of medicine, the sciences and technology - Physics, Chemistry, Engineering and Information Technology.

  • Public Service
    This award category recognizes outstanding service in any branch of government, national or local including executive, judicial, legislative and military and for the public good by an individual or entity.

  • Youth Leadership
    Award category is given to recognize outstanding achievements of young people (35 years or younger) for outstanding contributions to meaningful social change, advocacy and development in their communities.
